That would likely be hell to develop, sectioning things off in 45 minute chunks to be released every week without fail, but I think it would be more effective than two hours of gameplay every two to three months, and would be a more "true" episodic model, the likes of which we haven't really seen to date. I think it would kind of amazing if there was such a thing as a weekly-released, story game that you could play like a TV show. The game was at its most engaging when I got to play it in larger two or three chapter chunks. Yes, The Walking Dead: Season One was my game of the year a while back, but to me, the major drawback was the yawning gulfs of time between chapters. While I want more story-focused games, I'm not sure the episodic model works all that well. Telltale Games announced the reveal event today, assuring that it has 'lots to share' about.
